My dad used to keep bees about 30 years ago but had given up. However, he had left a couple of his old hives up the garden empty. Imagine my surprise when I went up to dig the veg plot one day in 2019 to see that a swarm had taken up residence in one of the hives. This provided the catalyst to a fledgling passion into beekeeping and many interesting antics in the following years.

Due to poor health I am only able to keep a handful of hives, but now have an apiary in a nearby village in addition to my own back garden.

All my honey is 100% pure, it is sieved to remove the beeswax and other debris from the honeycomb. My candles are made with refined wax from old comb.
